New Shareholding Structure of OPTREX Group
OPTREX Corporation (OPTREX) has been a company owned by investment funds primarily managed by Japan Industrial Partners, Inc.("JIP") since February 2008, instead of Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. We are now pleased to inform that JIP and the investment funds have reached an agreement on a sale of all of their shareholdings to KYOCERA Corporation on December 22nd, 2011. The transfer of the shares is scheduled to be completed in February 2012. After closing, OPTREX will continue to execute and make progress in broad range of businesses as a subsidiary of KYOCERA, leveraging current business base.

Optrex proudly announces successful development of hODVh, a high contrast in all direction LCD, and mass production will start in December 2010
OPTREX CORPORATION (Tokyo, Japan), an FPD total solution provider, proudly announces Omni-Directional-View (ODV), a newly developed passive matrix display with high contrast from all direction and wide viewing panel. Mass production launch is planned at the end of the year 2010 from HIROSHIMA OPT CORPORATION, OPTREX plant in Hiroshima, Japan. Other production line is facilitated at China, Thai, and Czech Republic factories.

We amended the current Green procurement content and management policy stressing "procurement of materials to supply environment
guaranteed products to customers" and hereby amended the Green procurement policy.

Group
OPTREX Corporation (OPTREX) has been growing as
a joint business of Asahi Glass Co., Ltd.(Asahi) and Mitsubishi
Electric Corporation(Mitsubishi) since 1976. Today both of
parent companies decided to sell all of their shares to Japan
Industrial Partners, Inc.(JIP: Principle business address:
Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Mr. Hidemi Moue,) in February,
2008 and signed the agreement on stock transfer. Under new
shareholder, OPTREX will execute and progress broad range
of business evolution as an independent company.
